Tantaline treated acid resistant heat exchangers are the most corrosion resistant heat exchanger commercially available. Tantaline treated heat exchangers have lifetimes 5x -50x longer and prices very competitve to specialty metal heat exchangers like Hastelloy, titanium zirconium and tantalum heat exchangers.

Acid resistant heat exchangers

Tantaline treated heat exchangers  are designed for hot acid applications including hydrochloric acid (HCl), sulfuric acid (H2SO4), acetic acid, sour gas (H2S) and nitric acid as well as strong organic chemicals. Tantaline's acid resistant heat exchangers are availabe in plate and frame heat exchangers, fully welded plate heat exchagners and shell and tube heat exchangers. Tantaline treated acid resistant heat exchangers are a higher performing and a cost competitive option to nickel alloys (Hastelloy), titanium (Ti),and  Zirconium (Zr) heat exchangers.

  2. Typically shell and tubes heat exchangers have low pressure drop but low efficiencies.
     
Shell and tube heat exchangers typically can handle higher levels of particulate and solids.
