Tantalum heat exchangers are known to be extremely corrosion resistant in hot acid environments. The problem with tantalum heat exchangers is that they are extremely expensive and susceptible to the effects of hydrogen embrittlement.  Tantaline solves both of these problems.
 
Tantaline treated plate and frame heat exchangers  are designed for hot acid applications including hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid, sour gas (H2S) and nitric acid. Tantaline's acid resistant heat exchangers offer a corrosion resistance beyond nickel alloys (Hastelloy), titanium (Ti) and Zirconium (Zr).
