Corrosion Resistant Pump Impellers For Hot Acid Applications

Tantaline's corrosion resistant pumps and impellers offer the highest corrosion resistance possible at costs less than Hastelloy pumps. Tantaline treated acid resistant pumps are designed for hot acid applications including hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid, sour gas (H2S) and nitric acid to name a few.

A Tantaline acid resistant pumps and impellers allows the engineer to have extreme corrosion protection without sacrificing the pump impeller performance.  Because a Tantaline solution is a surface alloy and metallurgically alloyed to the pump impeller, the tantalum metal surface will not chip, spall or separate from the pump impeller even under high RPM’s and under conditions where cavitation exists.

 

Because of Tantaline's surface alloy it is extremely rugged and durable and can withstand substantial abuse from foreign matter and impacts to pump impellers. In addition, because the Tantaline surface is completely uniform and relatively thin compared to PTFE coatings, impeller balancing and smooth operation is easily achieved giving your pump greater life.
