Ruggedness of the Tantaline Surface Alloy

To demonstrate the ruggedness of the surface alloy, samples have been indented with a Rockwell C cone indenter at the midpoint and u-bent 180° over a mandrel before submerging in boiling 37% HCl for a period of 24 hours and surviving with no signs of corrosion.
