	Surface Roughness The Tantaline process generally mirrors the surface roughness of the starting substrate materials. Because the Tantaline surface is grown at a molecular level it tends to slightly improve or decrease the Ra value for standard materials. Tantaline can achieve virtually any surface roughness give a reasonable starting substrate and additional polishing if needed.
