Tantaline's Corrosion Performance

Tantaline® is unique in chemical resistance beyond the performance of titanium or nickel alloys. In general Tantaline parts may be used in any acid, except for fluoride and fuming sulphuric acid. Tantaline may be applied in alkaline media, but the tantalum content in the surface may be affected, so continuous use in alkaline media is not recommended.
  • Below 150°C Tantaline shows immunity in a large numbers of media.
     
  • Above 150°C Tantaline offers a chemical performance beyond most special alloys like titanium, Hastelloy and zirconium.
