The Winning Material for Hydrochloric Acid

Nickel base alloys and especially the C-276 alloy has for decades been dominating solutions for difficult corrosion task. After more than 15 years use in hydrochloric acid at high temperature, the intensive customer validation, shows that Tantaline the most efficient material for application in Hydrochloric Acid Service known today

Being competitive price to Hastelloy C-276 alloy and offering component life-times at least  ten times longer than C-276, Tantaline has positioned itself as the most cost-efficient material for severe corrosive media. The use of Tantaline has spread to numerious subsegment of the CPI, handling hydrochloric and sulfuric acids at elevated temperatures. Earlier this year Mass High Tech selected Tantaline as one of five companies to follow.

The Answer to Future Clean Energy Technology

The Sulfur-iodine process material has been known as the most efficient way to produce clean hydrogen to be used in e.g. fuel cells. Despite intensive research since the mid 1970's no commercially available material (and not even Gold!) has shown able to withstand the severe corrosive conditions during the process. Tantaline has shown to hold up these conditions where other materials like Hastelloy C-276 typical fails within few days.
