Tantaline has broken the cost paradigm for tantalum. Due to Tantaline’s unique production technology we can offer the performance of solid tantalum parts at a fraction of the costs of solid tantalum.  

The reason for offering the markets most affordable tantalum components is found in the fact that Tantaline can take advantage of a patented tantalum alloy process, that integrates a tantalum surface alloy in high strength steel based core, that gives the mechanical stability to the component. Since tantalum has a nil corrosion rate in most acidic solution it is not necessary to fabricate a solid tantalum part to get the performance solid tantalum.
 

Due to the efficient use of tantalum metal we can produce high performance parts much more cost effective that from solid tantalum. The tantalum corrosion excess layer of Tantaline is typically in the range 2 mils (50micrometers), but heavier corrosion layer can be made (8mils or 200um).  Tantaline tantalum components are typically 15% less than Hastelloy C-276 in cost, whereas a solid tantalum solution can be 10-50 times higher.
