Tantaline® tantalum fasteners are optimized concerning chemical and mechical performance. Tantaline's fasteners offer the full corrosion resitance of c.p. tantalum, but are mechanically improved due to their steel core and Tantaline's patented alloy bonding technology. 

Tantaline's tantalum fasteners offer a corrosion performance that is well beyond that of titanium or other specialty metals like zirconium or Hastelloy. In addition, Tantaline's tantalum fastners are not sensitive to hydrogen embrittlement, which may lead to a sudden and unpredictable failure of the fastener.The tantalum fasteners combines a higher strengh steel core with a tantalum surface that is metallurgically alloyed to it.
