 Acid Resistant Valves
Not only do Tantaline Valves have unmatched technical performance, they also offer an extended lifetime, lower costs and shorter lead-times than special alloy valves made from e.g. titanium, nickel or zirconium alloy.
Materials
Tantaline Valves are supplied by leading valve manufactures who are known for their high quality and reliability. These OEM valves are usually made from stainless steel are then treated in the Tantaline process to create all the desired corrosion resistant properties of Tantaline products.
Performance
Tantaline Valves are inert to almost any acids including hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and formic acid at temperatures as high as 300°C - Temperatures where special alloy or PTFE or PFA lined valves may fail due to corrosion attack, thermal failure or high pressures. Since the tantalum surface is alloy bonded, Tantaline Valves are also very suitable for vacuum applications.
Applications
Within the chemical process industry Tantaline Valves have proven to be extremely valuable and reliable in hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid handling as well a bromine and chlorine processing. Within petrochemical applications Tantaline Valves are unique, since their performance is unaffected by hydrogen sulfide (H 2S) or methanol.
Valve Offering
• ANSI 150, ANSI 300, ANSI 600, PN 16 and PN40 pressure classes.
• Any size from ½" to 10" (DN6 to DN 250).
• Flange ends, threaded (NPT or BSP) ends or tube ends.
Tantaline offers a comprehensive range of ball valves. Other valve types like e.g. plug, gate and check valves are available upon request. If your preferred valve type is not shown on these pages, Tantaline JobShop treatment may be a solution for you.
